Jose Loza, DDS
Dr. Jose Loza is married to Andrea Coloma and resides in Virginia with their two children, Nicole and Mateo. He enjoys playing tennis and golf. After dental school, Jose pursued advanced dental training at the University of Maryland Dental School, graduating as the most accomplished resident in his class. Since completing his residency in 2001, he has been practicing dentistry in Northern Virginia. Jose is well trained in the latest techniques currently used in our office, including Itero (our exclusive digital system that replaces the use of impression materials) and Invisalign (the clear system for orthodontics). He also adds to our daily practice his excellent clinical skills in endodontics and all phases of restorative dentistry, including working with dental implants.
Juan C. Loza, DDS
Dr. Juan Loza is a Board Certified Prosthodontist with a degree from the University of Maryland. He is married to Dr. Lillian Carpio, a Periodontist in McLean. They reside in the area with their two children, Melissa and Fiorella. Dr. Loza’s credentials include five years as Post Graduate Program Director at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He also has a PhD from the University of Buffalo. Dr Loza is an active member of the American Dental Association, and American College of Prosthodontics.
Luis Loza, DDS
Dr. Luis Loza graduated dental school in Peru. He went into private practice with his father David Loza for 4 years. He then attended the University of Maryland’s Dental School where he pursued a degree in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. He was 2ND year chief resident. He is certified in Invisalign and Sedation Dentistry. His skills include all phases of restorative, cosmetic, endodontic and implant dentistry. He utilizes the latest techniques and technology including the digital impression system called the Itero. He is a member of the Northern Virginia Dental Society, Virginia Dental Association and the American Dental Association. He has a son, Nicolas. He loves to play golf and soccer.
Hugo Manrique
Dr. Manrique graduated from UPCH school of dentistry in Lima, Peru in 1996 and has been practicing in private practice ever since. In 2005 he got a D.M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Manrique has an extensive background in cosmetic procedures, prosthetics and endodontics, his patients enjoy his approachable manner and thorough clinical evaluations and diagnostic skills. He believes that the best approach to treatment planning begins with a good understanding of the patient’s concerns and needs. Helping patients understand their oral condition is key to developing great functional and cosmetic results. In addition to that he practices dentistry in a way that makes patients feel comfortable and stress free. He has had great success with patients with different levels of anxiety and has always experienced great personal satisfaction in seeing most of these patients succeed in overcoming their dentistry related fears over his years of practice.
Our Heritage
We were born in Lima, Peru, and were raised in a family with a strong attraction to the dental field. Our father and mentor, Dr. David Loza, was the Dean of our Dental School. Following in his footsteps, we completed our post-graduate studies and graduated from the dental program at the University of Maryland. After additional academic and professional experiences, we decided to pursue our dream of partnering together to practice dentistry with the qualities instilled in us by our father: excellence and honesty. To our delight we met Dr. Lazaro, who has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years with the same goals of excellence and honesty toward his patients. Great Falls is the community we will be calling home for many years to come.
