Restore Integrity and Appearance with Dental Crowns
Tooth decay is a serious issue and should not be overlooked. Covering and supporting a weak or broken tooth with a crown can make your tooth stronger and improve its appearance. It can also be used to attach a bridge, restore a dental implant, or cover teeth that are discolored or poorly shaped.
To fabricate your crowns and bridges, we use a system called iTero scanner, which consists of a digital camera that is used to capture the three-dimensional shape of your teeth. The end result is an extremely precise reproduction of your teeth which results in a very accurate fitting crown or bridge, and we don’t need to resort to gooey impression materials.
iTero scanner—powered by proprietary imaging technology—enables the dentist to take a powder-free digital scan of the patient’s teeth and bite, make any necessary adjustments in real time, and then transmit the file via a wireless Internet connection to a laboratory for further processing.
From there, a precision-milled model is created and shipped to the laboratory within 48 hours. The laboratory may also import the iTero STL file into their lab-based cad/cam milling systems for direct production of copings and full coverage cad/cam restorations.
With compassionate dental care and the help of technology we can create a dental crown that fits perfectly in your mouth, so that you can chew, smile and laugh with confidence.
